I attended the National Broadcasting Society convention in Des Moines, IA in the middle of the month and had a great time there. Learned a few new tricks of the trade and came home with another First Place award. I entered the "Fund for Leadership Support" video for the SW MN Lutheran Synod and received first place. This was a tremendous surprise to me, especially since it was in the "Open" category which typically sees a large amount of entries. I was able to win first in the category going against competition from schools in 9 surrounding states!

Video Magic Productions was recently recognized in the Marshall Independent for our Jones Soda award.

Video Magic Productions has won yet another award. In early December, 2006, VMP was notified that a photo which was taken by owner Alex Peterson had won in a national contest for Jones Soda. The photo below is the one that will be printed on millions of bottles of Jones Soda starting in Spring of 2007.

Video Magic Productions has won a first place award for the "Drunk Driving Awareness Music Video" on October 21, 2006 at the Region 5 convention of the National Broadcasting Society. This video was in competition against music videos from 10 other schools in the Midwest and swept with a perfect score. Alex Peterson, owner of Video Magic Productions, also received "Region 5 Rookie Member of the Year" on top of another first place award for a news package of the Green Valley Elevator fire on top of an honorable mention for a news package about the Red Baron Museum.
