About Video Magic Productions
A Business Biography from Owner Alex Peterson.
First of all, thank youfor your interest in Video Magic Productions and for checking out our web site! I officially founded VMP in Marshall, Minnesota in June of 2006 offering video production. I became interested in video production in 2000 as a freshman in high school and it has been a passion of mine ever since. I attended SMSU in Marshall and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio & Television Broadcasting. I have personally won several awards for my video productions. I currently have a full time job as a video editor on top of running our business and still love every second of it.
When it comes to the photography portion of our business, it may make you wonder why our company name only includes video. Well, in 2006, I had an interest in photography but didn't know I would start offering it as another service in our business. I became interested in still photography early in high school when my father let me start using his 35mm Canon AE-1. From that point on, I have been passionate to improving my skills to capture unforgettable images.
And finally, the last service we offer is a mobile DJ service. Well, believe it or not, I started my DJ performance career before everything else. I took pride in being able to DJ a few of my own junior high dances. That means I've been DJing for over a decade! Again, my degree in Radio & Television broadcasting really helped me refine my skills and knowledge of DJ performance. My life-long passion of music makes performing at an event an enjoyable and fun experience.
If you've been wondering why I keep calling it "our" business, that would be because my wonderful wife Allison is the other photographer and assistant.
